Crisis first. Parity is a coverage rule. Do not release therapy notes on a phone guess.
Active suicidal intent uses the crisis path, not the next wellness slot.
Never miss
- Mental-health benefits cannot be arbitrarily thinner than medical benefits.
- Minor and therapy-note privacy is stricter in practice.
- A referral needs a reason and recent notes.
- Confidential communications go only to the named channel.
Traps
- Emailing notes to whichever parent called first.
- Inventing a diagnosis so the referral looks complete.
- Using a group text for safety information.
Shortcuts
- Crisis, routine therapy, and med-management are different queues.
