About this role

Revenue Cycle Lead

B Above Services

About B Above Services

At B Above Services, we are committed to providing compassionate, individualized support to individuals with autism and their families. Our team works together to make accessing services as straightforward and supportive as possible.

We are looking for an experienced, organized, and proactive Revenue Cycle Lead to join our growing team. This role is essential to supporting the financial health and continued growth of B Above Services by overseeing revenue cycle operations, insurance billing, collections, provider credentialing, and payer enrollment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong healthcare revenue cycle experience, an understanding of Medicaid and commercial insurance requirements, and the leadership skills needed to improve processes, support team performance, and ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for the services we provide.

Position Summary

The Revenue Cycle Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day revenue cycle operations of B Above Services, including claims management, payment posting, denials and appeals, accounts receivable, collections, provider credentialing, and insurance payer enrollment.

This position will work closely with clinical, operations, intake, and administrative teams to ensure accurate documentation, appropriate authorization and enrollment, billing compliance, and timely reimbursement. The Revenue Cycle Lead will also monitor performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop scalable processes to support organizational growth, including new hires, locations, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Cycle & Billing Operations

  • Oversee the full revenue cycle, including claims submission, payment posting, denials management, appeals, and collections.
  • Monitor billing accuracy and ensure claims are submitted accurately and within payer deadlines.
  • Track accounts receivable (AR), identify aging claims, and coordinate timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Investigate and resolve claim denials, underpayments, billing discrepancies, and reimbursement delays.
  • Identify revenue leakage, billing inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve collections and financial performance.
  • Establish and maintain effective workflows for claims management, payment reconciliation, and outstanding balances.
  • Ensure billing practices align with payer requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor reimbursement trends and recommend strategies to improve revenue cycle performance.

Provider Credentialing & Insurance Enrollment

  • Oversee provider credentialing, re-credentialing, and insurance payer enrollment for Medicaid and commercial insurance plans.
  • Coordinate credentialing and enrollment for new hires, existing providers, new locations, and market expansion.
  • Track credentialing applications, enrollment statuses, renewal deadlines, and outstanding documentation.
  • Ensure provider credentials, licenses, certifications, and payer enrollment records remain current and accurate.
  • Coordinate with insurance payers and credentialing entities to resolve enrollment issues and prevent unnecessary delays.
  • Maintain organized credentialing records and documentation in accordance with company policies and payer requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical, HR, and operations teams to ensure providers meet credentialing requirements before delivering services when applicable.
  • Identify credentialing or enrollment issues that could affect billing eligibility or reimbursement and coordinate timely resolution.

Authorization, Compliance & Revenue Integrity

  • Monitor insurance authorizations, approved service hours, and service utilization to support accurate billing and reduce preventable revenue loss.
  • Collaborate with intake, clinical, and authorization teams to track authorization requirements, expiration dates, and outstanding items.
  • Help ensure billed services are supported by appropriate documentation and align with payer authorization requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies between authorized services, delivered services, clinical documentation, and submitted claims.
  • Support compliance with payer policies, Medicaid requirements, HIPAA, and applicable billing regulations.
  • Develop and maintain processes to improve billing accuracy, documentation completeness, and reimbursement compliance.
  • Communicate potential compliance concerns, recurring errors, and operational risks to leadership.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and support billing and credentialing staff, establishing clear responsibilities, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to help team members meet departmental goals.
  • Monitor team productivity, workload distribution, and completion of critical revenue cycle tasks.
  • Develop standardized procedures and workflows to promote consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities to strengthen team knowledge of billing, credentialing, payer requirements, and internal processes.
  • Foster collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across revenue cycle functions.

Reporting, Analytics & Process Improvement

  • Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to claims, collections, accounts receivable, denials, credentialing, and reimbursement.
  • Provide regular updates and performance reports to leadership, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze revenue cycle data to identify recurring issues, operational bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve financial outcomes.
  • Establish measurable goals and implement strategies to improve collections, reduce outstanding receivables, and minimize claim denials.
  • Create and refine processes that support consistency, accountability, and scalability as B Above Services continues to grow.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and recommend improvements to systems, reporting, and cross-departmental communication.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with clinical, intake, operations, HR, and administrative teams to support accurate billing and efficient revenue cycle operations.
  • Communicate payer requirements, billing issues, credentialing updates, and process changes to relevant team members.
  • Work with clinical and operations teams to address documentation gaps and other issues that may delay claims or reimbursement.
  • Support the financial and operational readiness of new providers, service locations, and market expansions.
  • Serve as a key resource for revenue cycle questions, problem resolution, and process improvement initiatives.
